The following is a guide to prices, but please ring up to check. 

All work will be priced individually and varies according to complexity. Estimating tends towards the lower rates and legal issues towards the higher rates. Larger guaranteed volumes of work may reduce the rates, so please enquire. The rates include all overheads such as office equipment, telephones, software licenses and so on. 

All prices are the total you will pay. I do not charge VAT.

TIME SPENT FEES

You only pay for the exact amount of time spent on your project. Daily rates are for 8 hours working excluding breaks. (eg 8am ro 5pm with 1 hours breaks included). Hourly rates are rounded up to the nearest 5 minutes and exclude breaks. Fees include overheads such as office space, equipment, telephone, broadband, software licenses and professional memberships.

  • Typical costs for a £200k job; Bill for you to price £1,200. Take off, bill and pricing £1,500. 

New Build and Extension Estimating

The following table shows the typical cost of producing a detailed estimate. You will get a Bill of Quantities, a take off schedule, a resource list and trade bills and their are many other reports that can be generated. You can incorporated all your own costs  A typical or bespoke project programme can also be generated. The information provided will allow you to budget the project in some depth.

Quantity Surveying

Generally

  • a typical builders/ contractors QS Management service for a £500k job is approx £15,000 or 3% of the job cost. This includes preparing and sending out enquiries to subcontractors, advice on quotations received, monthly valuations, profit and loss reporting and issuing of subcontractors payment cerificates over a period of 6 months. 

Home Owners 

  • a typical QS service for a £500k job is approx £7,500 or 1.5% of the job cost. This includes preparing and sending out enquiries to builders, advice on quotations received, monthly valuations, budget reporting and issuing of payment cerificates to builders over a period of 6 months.
